Tel Aviv University

Research Collaborations and Opportunities
- Seed funding for international projects, workshops and conferences that bring together scholars from various countries to exchange ideas. We announce a Call for Collaboration twice each academic year. Explore examples here.
- Research Fellowships for International Students (“Sandwich”) enables international graduate students to undertake part of their research at TAU.
- Joint Postdoctoral and PhD Exchange Fellowships from TAU and partner institutions, to expand professional networks and contribute to research across borders (short term). Example can be found here.

Visiting Fellowships for Faculty
- Visiting Scholars Program invites scholars to teach intensive courses and seminars at TAU. We also invite guest professors under the Institute for Advanced Studies and Lowy Distinguished Guest Professors program in a variety of academic fields.

Self-funded Visting Faculty are invited for one to three months to pursue collaborative research and teaching opportunities.

- Virtual Collaborations and Joint Courses (COIL) – we encourage the development of joint international courses with a university abroad, utilizing online platforms and tools.
- Customized & Faculty-Led Programs at TAU provide students with unique learning experiences beyond the traditional classroom setting.
Summer/Winter Workshops provide opportunity for international faulty to collaborate with TAU faculty in creating intensive, short-term learning opportunities on specific topics. Examples can be found here and here.

- Annual Lady Davis Call for Academic Visitors to Teach Courses: Annual call for guest lecturers to teach. All applicants must have a letter of endorsement from a HUJI faculty member/unit. Open to all fields. More information can be found here.

- Fulbright Distinguished (Senior) Scholar Fellowship: This program supports scholar’s visit to HUJI for four months. Proposed activities may include research, lecturing, or a combination of lecturing and research. Assistant Professor or higher academic rank (or equivalent professional standing) and a letter of endorsement from a HUJI faculty member/unit is required. Open to all fields. - Courses with International Travel Components: Annual call for HUJI courses with a travel component. Strong preference for collaboration with a local host academic institution with their faculty and students during the tour. Open to all fields.

Undergraduate Students
- Summer Science Internships: Individual STEM summer internship for senior undergraduate or graduate students at a HUJI lab. More information can be found here.

Graduate Students
- Fulbright Master Degree Fellowship: This program supports candidates interested in pursuing a one-year Master’s degree at HUJI. Holders of one Master’s degree may apply for a second in a different field than the one they already obtained. More information can be found here.

PhD Students and Postdoctoral Fellowships
- Cotutelle Degree: When joint supervision is beneficial, HUJI can offer a joint PhD program with another university that is student-specific. A Cotutelle candidate will be enrolled at both institutions, completing research and requirements for each program. Upon finishing, the candidate will receive a joint PhD degree from both universities. More information can be found here.
- Research Opportunities for Early-Stage Researchers: A platform connecting researchers with exciting academic positions and projects at HUJI.More information can be found here.
- Fulbright Research Fellowships for PhD Students (One Semester): This program is designed to provide research opportunities by utilizing local resources as well as gaining international experience. Grantees plan their own projects, which may include independent library, archival or field research, consultations with local professors or a combination of such activities. Open to all fields.
