Tel Aviv University

Research Collaborations and Opportunities
- Seed funding for international projects, workshops and conferences that bring together scholars from various countries to exchange ideas. We announce a Call for Collaboration twice each academic year. Explore examples here.
- Research Fellowships for International Students (“Sandwich”) enables international graduate students to undertake part of their research at TAU.
- Joint Postdoctoral and PhD Exchange Fellowships from TAU and partner institutions, to expand professional networks and contribute to research across borders (short term). Example can be found here.

Visiting Fellowships for Faculty
- Visiting Scholars Program invites scholars to teach intensive courses and seminars at TAU. We also invite guest professors under the Institute for Advanced Studies and Lowy Distinguished Guest Professors program in a variety of academic fields.

- Fulbright Distinguished (Senior) Scholar Fellowship: This program supports scholar’s visit to HUJI for four months. Proposed activities may include research, lecturing, or a combination of lecturing and research. Assistant Professor or higher academic rank (or equivalent professional standing) and a letter of endorsement from a HUJI faculty member/unit is required. Open to all fields. Graduate Students
- Fulbright Master Degree Fellowship: This program supports candidates interested in pursuing a one-year Master’s degree at HUJI. Holders of one Master’s degree may apply for a second in a different field than the one they already obtained. More information can be found here.

PhD Students and Postdoctoral Fellowships
- Cotutelle Degree: When joint supervision is beneficial, HUJI can offer a joint PhD program with another university that is student-specific. A Cotutelle candidate will be enrolled at both institutions, completing research and requirements for each program. Upon finishing, the candidate will receive a joint PhD degree from both universities. More information can be found here.

- Fulbright Research Fellowships for PhD Students (One Semester): This program is designed to provide research opportunities by utilizing local resources as well as gaining international experience. Grantees plan their own projects, which may include independent library, archival or field research, consultations with local professors or a combination of such activities. Open to all fields. Visiting Fellowships for Faculty
- Distinguished scholars with international research reputation and beneficial expertise in a multidisciplinary field enjoy a yearly cycle of fellowships within the HAI Fellow funding scheme. During a fully covered stay of at least 10 days at the university, visiting researchers participate in seminars, conduct workshops, and engage in diverse research and teaching collaborations. Zuckerman STEM Leadership Program
The Zuckerman Postdoctoral Scholars Program attracts high-achieving postdoctoral scholars from premier universities in the United States and Canada to do research at one of eight Israeli universities: Ariel University, Bar-Ilan University, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, University of Haifa, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Tel Aviv University, and Weizmann Institute of Science.
Once they complete their research, many Zuckerman postdocs are expected to accept faculty positions at top North American universities, weaving a network of academic collaboration and goodwill that will greatly benefit US-Israeli scientific cooperation.
Candidates for the Zuckerman STEM Leadership Program are assessed based on their academic and research achievements, as well as on personal merit and leadership qualities, without regard to race, religion, gender, ethnicity, or age.
