Kalaniyot Co-Founders Featured in Sapir

Kalaniyot co-founders Professors Or Hen and Ernest Fraenkel (MIT) were recently featured in Sapir in a response to the ongoing discussion about Israeli “brain drain.”

In their letter, they argue that global mobility is not a loss, but a cornerstone of Israel’s scientific strength—when paired with strong international networks and pathways for collaboration and return. Drawing on their experience co-founding Kalaniyot, they highlight how initiatives that support Israeli scholars abroad can help transform brain drain into brain circulation and long-term brain gain.
